I'm sure I have read all your stories and can't remember the others being upsetting, but I know I'm more sensitive post CoE I think that must be it. I tried to tell myself that Ianto was at least 70 in the scene in 1972.
Re the age of consent. I was coming from a political standpoint. Just because gay men fought for years to get equality, so I kind of think it's tough if people are bothered! However, you are clearly a nicer person than i am and worry about sensibilities. I guess you could put an author's note, which literally said, "the age of consent in Britain is 16". By the way, that scene was fantastic, it really was very beautiful, I loved how you took that part of Ianto's character and went with it. Also the likelihood, which I'm sure is true, that at any age he would fancy Jack.
